Overview

EWB at Ohio State partnered with Buckeye Precious Plastics to design a simple, repeatable process for creating bulk bags by upcycling single-use grocery bags. Members created two bulk bags by ironing and sewing together hundreds of plastic bags, and assembled a step-by-step guide for replicating the process.

The two bags produced are used on campus — including at Baker Systems — to collect plastic bottle caps for recycling and upcycling.
