Overview

The TREES committee partnered with Green Columbus, a local nonprofit, to expand the Linden and Hilltop tree nurseries. The project involved installing drip irrigation lines and planting seedlings at both sites, ultimately doubling the combined nursery capacity.

Trees grown at these nurseries are donated by Green Columbus to neighborhoods with historically low tree canopy coverage. The committee also drafted and distributed guides for creating community tree nurseries, sharing the model with local schools.
